About MIGRANTS+

The ever growing and extended presence of communities of foreigners in Europe is based on demographic problems, economic differences between high and low wage countries and on the free circulation of citizens within the EU. Both national and local governments have to deal with this phenomenon. Also, EC has developed a range of policies for migration and integration.
The project aims at:

  • offering candidate migrants the opportunity for self-assessment in their own country,
  • developing life long learning opportunities for adult migrants in basic skills,
  • developing the skills of training staff and administrators, who frequently deal with migrants, support staff of NGOs,  to facilitate personal development and enhance the learning opportunities of migrants,
  • enhancing active participation of migrants in host society as equal members and preventing their marginalisation.

MIGRANTS+ builds on the current intercultural training models and training scheme as well as on the software tool produced by the FIL Leonardo project, which detects learning needs for basic skills. It adapts and transfer knowledge, methods and good practices on intercultural education and add value.
